How it all began

1979
Arrival in Miami
In 1979, the Cardenal family arrived in Miami, a city that would become their home for the next 40 years. Back then, Brickell was a neighborhood that was originally platted for mansions and large homes by Mary Brickell. However, in the 1970s, office towers, hotels, and apartment buildings began replacing the historic mansions, ushering in a new era of commercial development.
1980
the real estate journey begins
In the 1980s, the Cardenal family founded CT International, a real estate company specializing in representing foreign national investors and families coming from Central and Latin America to Miami. With a wealth of experience in the local market, the company quickly established itself as a trusted partner for foreign national investors seeking to grow their real estate portfolios in South Florida.

1990
Expanding into New Areas
In 1990, Emilio Cardenal Sr. and his son, Emilio Jr., founded Interinvestments Realty with a focus on representing developers of new residential properties and selling condominiums and new homes to clients from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.
While the family real estate business specialized in residential property sales and property management… soon things would change.
1993
Adding Commercial Division
In 1993, Javier Cardenal joined the family business and focused on adding a commercial division to the company, specializing in investment properties such as multifamily, office, retail, and industrial.
As the demand for Miami Beach and other Miami areas spurned demand from global investors, Miami transformed into the dense, urban, residential, and commercial hotspot it is today.
2010s
In the 2010s, Miami experienced tremendous growth in downtown and Brickell, as well as new neighborhoods like the Miami Design District, Wynwood, Little Havana, Edgewater, and Coconut Grove.
Javier Cardenal as the Commercial Director of the company represented private equity firms, family offices, high net-worth investors and multi-national companies expanding their investments into South Florida.
2017
Cardenal Realty Advisors
In 2017, Javier Cardenal founded Cardenal Realty Advisors, a commercial real estate firm in Brickell with a primary focus on providing investment opportunities and advisory services.
Since Commercial and Investment Property services are a specialized field in Real Estate, it made sense to have a company that concentrated its expertise in those areas to better serve the client.
Today, Cardenal Realty Advisors serves new and existing clients for multiple generations, building wealth for clients from various regions of the world.
2020s
Expanding services

Listing services were expanded with premier marketing with best in class media and web design companies to assist owners and landlords to promote the sales and leasing of their properties.
Cardenal expands it services to its core clients with portfolio building and asset management services.

With over 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, Javier Cardenal is a trusted expert in South Florida. As the founder and CEO of Cardenal Realty Advisors, he leads a team of seasoned professionals who specialize in helping clients achieve their investment goals through sound real estate strategies. A Belen Jesuit Preparatory School alumni, Javier holds a degree in Psychology and International Business from FIU.
Valeria has extensive experience in marketing and retail properties. She has previously opened and managed retail operations for several multinational retailers in Merrick Park, Sawgrass Mills, Boca Town Center and Brickell City Center. She is a graduate from Loyola University with a Double Major in Business Administration and Marketing. Valeria is our in-house retail and marketing expert and was also awarded as one of Brickell Magazine's Top 20 under.
Isabel Hidalgo is a skilled commercial real estate advisor and relationship ambassador with a passion for helping clients invest in the South Florida market. With a focus on delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships, she has a proven track record of success and expertise in Tourism, Hotel Management and Engineering from the Glion Institute in Switzerland.
Andres J. Cardenal is a multifaceted professional with 20+ years of experience in Real Estate and Geographic Information Science (GIS). As a Broker Associate, Author, and Scientist, Andres combines his expertise to deliver accurate location analytics and trend insights. With his geospatial application, Intelligo Trends, clients gain a competitive edge in the real estate market, making informed decisions for maximum returns. Andres earned a Masters of Science in Information & Communication Technology from University of Denver and a Masters of Science in Geographic Information Systems from John's Hopkins University.
